Texas State LBJ Student Center

This is a rebrand project for the Texas State LBJ Student Center.

The student center just underwent a major renovation. It also has a plethora of resources for students, however were challenged by their outdated, inconsistent branding. We found students were unaware of what the student center has to offer. Our mission was to convey the new, updated building & inform students about the various resources. We wanted to make sure that the new branding tone was inviting, making students feel at home in the new space.

I was the creative director for both campaigns, in charge of the overall message, photography, & design elements.

One Building,

Endless Opportunities

In this campaign, we focused on clean imagery and text. Creating an editorial, polished tone for the new renovations.

We wanted the elements to be minimal & professional while still being warm & inviting.

…LBJ has it.

For everything from coffee to counseling… lbj has it.

This campaign plays directly into our creative brief by showcasing the student center’s various resources for students.

For this campaign, we focused on a cozy tone. We found that few students considered the student center a place they would study or spend their free time. Instead, its often viewed as a transient place: a stop to get a quick bite or a passageway between classes.

So, to change this perception, we wanted to key in on making sure students knew about all the resources, but also let them know that its a comfortable place to unwind with friends or between classes.

To portray this tone, we used a retro typeface, warm tones, and more personal imagery.
